Ten Halloween Picture Books

I haven't been blogging lately because I had to go to Disneyland to see the Halloween decor. Then I had to recover from my multiple migraines induced by eating too many Mickey Pops.

So I haven't had much going on during my recovery except reading Halloween picture books to my toddler. I love holiday picture books.  They help me feel the generous spirit of Halloween. Here are some I've been reading lately, not all necessarily about October 31, but spooky enough to contribute to the festive season:

2. ZOMBELINA by Kristyn Crow

3. INSIDE A HOUSE THAT IS HAUNTED by Alyssa Satin Capucilli

4. THE LITTLE OLD LADY WHO WAS NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING by Linda Williams

5. I'M THE SCARIEST THING IN THE CASTLE by Kevin Sherry

6. THE BIGGEST PUMPKIN EVER by Steven Kroll

7. THE STORY OF THE JACK O'LANTERN by Katherine Tegen

8. MY FIRST HALLOWEEN by Tomie DePaola

9. HALLOWEEN NIGHT by Marjorie Dennis Murray

10. GOODNIGHT GOON: A PETRIFYING PARODY by Michael Rex

And, not Halloweenish at all, have you read THE PRINCESS AND THE PIG by Jonathan Emmett?

I wish I had the magical gene that allows one to write picture books like this.

If you're not into Halloween or picture books, tell me what you've been reading lately instead. Or tell me what you've been eating now that fall is here. If Mickey Pops, I'm coming over.

Disneyland at Halloween is my favorite! We just found a bunch of our Halloween picture books, including Cinderella Skeleton and Skeleton Hiccups. My kids also really like Shake Dem Halloween Bones. I haven't really read anything lately, but my sister just loaned me The Caged Graves and I'm super excited about that. I've heard it's amazing.
